Use the camcorder carefully. Do not forcefully push the body of the camcorder. For your personal safety, do not use your camcorder during a lightning storm or flashing. Do not use batteries of different specifications as they could cause serious damage. Remove the battery when you are not using your camcorder for an extended period of time, as a deteriorated battery may affect the operation of your camcorder. Remove the battery if it shows signs of leakage or deformation. Use only the accessories supplied by the manufacturer. Keep the camcorder out of the reach of children. There is a risk of an explosion when the battery is replaced with an incorrect one. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Use only the batteries recommended by Toshiba as spare parts. The battery is lithium-ion and may explode if not properly replaced, used, handled or disposed of. Dispose of the battery as required by local laws and regulations. Charge the battery to room temperature between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius. Failure to do so may result in electrolyte leakage, battery performance, and shortening. Never install or remove the battery without first turning off the power and disconnecting the AC adapter. To charge the battery use only the supplied AC adapter or USB cable or an optional Toshiba battery charger. Never attempt to charge the battery with any other type of charger.

Before using your camcorder, you must charge the battery using the supplied AC adapter or USB cable. Turn off the camcorder. A blinking light indicates the battery is charging and the solid light indicates charging is complete. When using the charging mode with AC, the light automatically turns off after 5 minutes. To play video optimally on your computer, install the included ArcSoft MediaImpression software program. Connect the computer and camcorder with the supplied mini USB 2.0 cable, as shown below.
